Muonio Landscapes as Art
Artist Veli Koljonen lives and works on the shores of Lake Särkijärvi in Muonio, where the nature of Lapland serves as an inexhaustible source of inspiration for his work. In Koljonen’s pieces, the scenery of Muonio is captured in oil paints. He maintains a year-round studio exhibition at Särkijärvi, which visitors can explore by appointment to experience the atmosphere of authentic Lappish artist life.
